Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown, with a distinctive white patch below the costal margin and near the subapex of the forewings. This white patch extends down to the dorsum as faint band on the upperside, and as an entirely solid white outer postdiscal band on the underside. There are also three white spots that occur close together to form a small patch on the inner side of the faint white band. There are brown spots in the basal and postbasal regions of both the fore- and hindwings. The hindwings have black spots at the termenal submargin. These occur in a broad white band that extends inward to the postdiscal region. The white bands on the fore- and hindwings are in line with each other when the wings are open.
