Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with transparent markings in which the veins are distinctively dark brown. These transparent regions occupy most of the wings. The hindwings are transparent from the base to the outer postdiscal region, excepting along the costal submargin. The forewings are transparent from the base to the postdiscal region, excepting along both the dorsum and costal submargin. Additionally, the forewings have a transparent subapical band and two transparent apical markings. The forewings have an orange tornal patch and the hindwings have an orange submarginal band. The hindwings have an orange basal marking on the underside.

Variation: There is variation in the thickness of the orange submarginal band on the hindwings, as well as the length of it, with it running from the tornus to around mid-termen in some specimens or further to the apex in others.
