Identification: This species is sexually dimorphic. Males are dark brown with a central white patch on the forewings (appears as a broad broken white band on the underside), and whitish triangular submarginal markings on the underside of the hindwings at the termen. These triangular markings radiate inward between veins and taper off. Females are dark brown with a broad yellow subapical band on the forewings. There are whitish veins on the underside of the hindwings and the forewings on the inner side of the subapical band. The hindwings also have whitish triangular submarginal markings on the underside at the termen.
