Identification: This species is sexually dimorphic. Males are dark brown with no distinctive markings. Females are dark brown with an orange patch that occupies much of the basal, postbasal and discal regions. The orange colour changes to yellow on the forewings and extends all the way out to outer postdiscal region. Where the colour changes, there are two distinctive dark brown markings. The orange colour extends further out on the underside of the hindwings, where it eventually meets with yellow triangular submarginal markings at the termen.
