Wing span:

Identification: This species is sexually dimorphic. Males are orange with dark brown submargins (excepting the dorsum) and subapex on the forewings. The orange region on the forewings of females is broken (with an orange subapical band separate from the remaining orange region) and serrated along the edge closest to the termen. The hindwings of females have a row of whitish submarginal spots along the termen.
