Wing span:

Identification: The wings are a mixture of white, red and dark brown. The hindwings are white from mid to base, and bordered on the outer side by a dark brown band, followed by a broader red band and then a dark brown submarginal band. These colours appear in the same pattern on the forewings, except that the white region appears like a semicircle with the base at the dorsum, and the surrounding bands take the same shape. The forewings also have an additional white marking in the subapical region, with a thick dark brown outline that is consistent with the dark brown band on the outer side of the white region. The red markings appear orange on the underside.
