Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown, with a broad yellow central band on the forewings. Both fore- and hindwings have a broad yellow band on the underside in the postbasal region of the forewings and running from just below the inner costa to the tornus of the hindwings.

Variation: There is variation in the thickness of the yellow band on the underside of the wings.
