Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside, with a central purplish-blue central oblique band on the forewings and broad purplish-blue termenal submargin on the hindwings. The underside of the wings is alternating vertical bands of dark brown and white to light brown. The forewings have three black subapical spots, each with a light brown outline. The hindwings have a light brown zig-zag line on the subapical, outer postdiscal and submarginal regions, with a large white-based black spot midway along the line. Both fore- and hindwings have a white submarginal line followed by a bright orange marginal line.
