Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside and brown on the underside, with a central dark brown band running from costa to dorsum. The forewings have brown submarginal lunules on the underside and the hindwings have white-crowned black submarginal lunules from mid-termen to tornus. 

Variation: There is variation in the intensity of the brown colours on the underside.
