Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside, with a red band radiating from the base of the forewings to the postdiscal region, and a red patch near the tornus of the hindwings. The hindwings are scalloped at the termen. The underside of the wings is light brown with dark brown vertical bands. The hindwings have a row of submarginal white-crowned black markings on the underside. There is an orange band on the outer side of the submarginal markings, which is more visible near the tornus.
