Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside and light brown on the underside, with a central orange oblique band on the forewings. The hindwings have a large black submarginal ocellus on the underside, and small black lunules on either side. Both ocellus and lunules occur on a thick white band in the submarginal and outer postdiscal regions. The hindwings also have an orangish-brown submargin on the underside. Both fore- and hindwings have two central orangish-brown bands running vertically from costa to dorsum, one occurring centrally and the other in the postdiscal region.
