Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside, with a blue band at the termenal submargin and a blue subapical patch on the forewings, and a large square red patch occupying most of the hindwings (mid to tornus). The underside of the wings is brown with black markings, including a row of black lunules in the outer postdiscal region.
