Wing span:

Identification: The wings are orangish-red on the upperside with broad dark brown termenal submargin, apex and subapex on the forewings and dark brown termenal submargin and apex on the hindwings. The orange regions have black markings, and both fore- and hindwings have a row of black submarginal spots, each with an orangish-red outline. The underside of the wings is white with black markings, excepting the dark brown apex, subapex and termenal submargin of the forewings and the apex of the hindwings.
