Erostratus metalmark

Wing span:

Identification: The upperside of the wings is orange with dark brown markings and dark brown submargin and margins on the forewings and dark brown margins on the hindwings. The forewings have a row of orange submarginal spots, while the hindwings have a row of dark brown submarginal ocelli, each with a broad orange outline. The fringe is dark brown and white. The forewings are orange on the underside with dark brown and white markings. The apex, subapex and termenal submargin are dark brown with two rows of white markings. The hindwings are dark brown on the underside with white markings. Some of the lunules appear on the underside and their outlines appear white. The body is orange on the upperside and white on the underside.
