Wing span:

Identification: The wings are a checkered pattern of yellow and dark brown. This pattern gives away to a solid dark brown submarginal region on the upperside of the forewings (the checkered pattern goes all the way to the margins on the underside). The termenal submargin has an orange and an iridescent light blue band on both fore- and hindwings. The yellow markings in the checkered region appear iridescent blue on the upperside in males.
