Black-banded white

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are white with dark brown apex, and costal and termenal margins on the forewings (with a little dark brown inward projection at the termen, below the apex), and dark brown termenal margin on the hindwings. The forewings also have a dark brown marking at the upper postdiscal region, that curves up and inward below the costal margin all the way to the base. The brown markings all appear larger and brighter on the underside. The apex, termenal submargin, outer postdiscal region and veins from mid to margin on the hindwings are also dark brown on the underside. Additionally, there is a bit of yellow at the base of the hindwings on the underside.
