Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with a broad central yellow band on the forewings and a broad postbasal yellow band on the hindwings (the two bands occur in line with each other, appearing like a 'v'). There are small yellow markings on the outer side of the band on both fore- and hindwings. These small yellow markings are not visible on the underside of the hindwings.
