Identification: The wings are orangish-brown from the postdiscal region to base of the forewings (excepting a dark brown strip along and below the costa) and from mid to base of the hindwings, with the remaining regions being dark brown. The forewings have three vertical rows of orangish-brown spots in the dark brown region (outer postdiscal, submarginal, marginal, apex and subapex), while the hindwings have two rows of orangish-brown submarginal spots. The underside of the wings is a blotchy brown with alternating orangish and dark brown submarginal lines. The forewings have three black ocelli, each with a white pupil and a yellow outline. The hindwings have four black ocelli, each with a white pupil and a yellow outline followed by a thin dark brown outline. One of the ocelli on the hindwings is larger than the others and occurs close to the costa, while the remaining three are similar in size and occur from mid to dorsum in a row.
