Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with a central yellow band and a subapical yellow band (consisting of three spots) on the forewings. The forewings are orange on the inner side of the central yellow band, all the way to the base, with dark brown spots. The region between the central and subapical bands also has bits of orange. The hindwings have two horizontal orange bands, the lower one curving upward to the apex. On the underside, there are thin orange lines connecting the two bands to each other, and thin orange lines connecting the upper band to the orange costa. The wings have submarginal yellowish-white spots on the underside.
