Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with a broad white central band and white fringe. The forewings have a thin white band at the outer postdiscal region. The hindwings have two tail-like projections at the tornus, one shorter than the other and orangish in colour. Additionally, the hindwings have three black tornal ocelli. The underside of the wings is white from mid to base on the forewings and from base to submargin on the hindwings. There is a vertical brown band that starts from the costa in the postbasal region of the forewings and runs downwards at an angle, ending above the tornus of the hindwings. From mid to margin of the forewings is brown with a white subapical band, a bluish postdiscal band and a bluish submarginal band. The hindwings have two brown submarginal bands that end above the tornus. The body is dark brown on the upperside and white on the underside.
