Wing span:

Identification: The wings are brown with dark brown ventral bands and ocelli. The hindwings are serrated at the termen. The forewings have a black subapical ocellus with a white pupil and yellow outline. The hindwings have five ocelli in the subapical and outer postdiscal regions: two black, two brown and one black. The black ocelli each have two white pupils and yellow outline. The brown ocelli each have a yellow outline; the one closer to the tornus has a white pupil. The ocellus closest to the tornus on the hindwings is visible on the upperside in females.
