Tailed cecropian

Wing span:

Identification: The upperside of the forewings is red from mid to base, black from mid to apex and dark brown at the tornus. The black region has six white spots. The hindwings are dark brown on the upperside with a tiny black tornal spot. The hindwings are serrated at the termen, with a tail-like projection just below mid-termen. The wings are a blotchy brown on the underside with a mauvish-blue tint and wavy black vertical lines from mid to base.
