Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with a yellow postdiscal oblique band and a yellow subapical band on the forewings. The area on the inner side of the central band is orange (faded on the underside), all the way to the base, with dark brown markings. The hindwings have two red horizontal bands below the costa, the one closer to the costa being longer than the other. On the underside, the shorter band is actually longer and curves upward to the apex. The hindwings also have a yellow spot and a smaller orange spot below the apex. There are whitish submarginal spots from mid-termen to tornus on the underside of the hindwings.
