Hecale longwing

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with a yellow postdiscal oblique band and a yellow subapical band on the forewings. The area on the inner side of the central band is orange (slightly faded on the underside), all the way to the base, with dark brown markings. The hindwings have a red horizontal band below the costa running from the base to the outer postdiscal region. There are yellow submarginal spots below the apex of the hindwings and at the tornus of the forewings. The hindwings have bluish submarginal spots on the underside, from mid-termen to tornus.
