Wing span:

Identification: The wings and body are marbled on the upperside with greyish-blue, white and dark brown. There is also a distinctive red mark at the costa in the discal region of the forewings (appears on the underside as well). Additionally, both fore- and hindwings have seven and six submarginal ocelli, respectively, each with a greyish-blue outline. The ocellus closest to the tornus on both fore- and hindwings, as well as the one closest to the apex of the hindwings, have no pupil. The remaining ocelli each have a white pupil. The underside of the wings is greyish-white from base to postbasal region of the forewings and from base to outer postdiscal region of the hindwings. The remaining area of the forewings is marbled with dark brown and white. The submarginal ocelli appear as white with dark brown outline. The body is greyish-white on the underside.
