Mexican fritillary

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are orange on the upperside with dark brown markings. The wings have dark brown spots in the outer postdiscal region, a dark brown submarginal line and dark brown margins. The forewings have two dark brown circles in the upper postbasal region. The forewings are orange on the underside, excepting the apical and subapical regions which are blotchy brown. The underside of the hindwings is entirely blotchy brown.
