Wing span:

Identification: The wings are iridescent turquoise on the upperside except at the dark brown margins and submargins of the hindwings and only from mid to base of the forewings. The forewings have a broad white central band and the area on the outer side of this band (including the apex and subapex) is dark brown. The forewings have a few black discal markings. The underside of the wings has a mix of dark brown, greyish-brown, white and orange. The dorsum and cell above the dorsum of the forewings are dark brown. The remaining area from base to the central white band is grayish-brown with black markings. The apical and subapical region of the forewings have nine small dark brown markings. The underside of the hindwings is greyish-brown with dark brown and black markings. The hindwings has a postdiscal band (with a dark brown wavy outline) containing two double black ocelli - each with a dark brown outline. There are a few black postbasal and discal markings. The hindwings also have a distinctive orange streak running from base to mid-termen. The body is dark brown on the upperside and light brown on the underside.
