The ocellus closest to the apex has a white pupil. The hindwings are entirely bluish-mauve on the underside with dark brown markings. Each has a postdiscal band (with dark brown wavy outlines) containing a double black ocellus near the apex and two black ocelli near the tornus, each with a whitish pupil, yellowish-brown iris and black outline. The postbasal region has three dark brown markings. The body is dark brown on the upperside and light brown on the underside.
