Wing span:

Identification: The wings are bright orange on the upperside with dark brown costal, apical and termenal margins and submargins on the forewings, and dark brown termenal margins and submargins on the hindwings. The forewings have a horizontal dark brown band radiating from a dark brown line that runs parallel with the costal margin to the base; the band merges with the termenal submargin. The costa of the hindwings is creamish-orange. The underside of the wings is brown with dark brown veins.
