Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with a deep iridescent bluish-purple tint from mid to base. The forewings have a broken orange wavy band at the outer postdiscal and subapical regions and two small apical white spots. The hindwings have an orangish termenal margin. The underside of the wings is a blotchy brown, and appears like dried foliage. The forewings have three small black subapical ocelli, each with a small white pupil and brownish outline. The hindwings have a brown spot with a yellowish crescent and black outline at the costa. There are also two black spots above the dorsum (one larger than the other), each with a partial white crescent and a brown outline followed by a yellowish outline.
