Daring owl-butterfly

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with a central white band consisting of four markings on the forewings. The forewings also have three small subapical white spots. The costa of the hindwings is white, and there are white to grey lunules extending downward from the white costa at the edge of the postdiscal region. The white markings on the forewings are visible on the brown underside. From mid to dorsum of the forewings are dark brown on the underside. The hindwings have a large brown spot near the costa, and two smaller brown spots in the postdiscal region.
