Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with white fringe, and the white markings from the underside appearing faintly on the upperside. The forewings have five central white spots and faint white subapical markings. The hindwings have a central oblique white band. The markings on both fore- and hindwings are present on the underside, in addition to a much more extensive brown and white pattern. The central band on the hindwings is outlined by dark brown on the underside, and the remaining wing area outside of the band is a lighter shade of brown. There are five black and iridescent blue ocelli on the outer side of the band on the hindwings, each with a yellowish-brown outline. These are faintly visible on the upperside of the hindwings. On the inner side of the band on the hindwings, there is a second similar looking band at the base. The underside of the forewings has some light iridescent blue markings below the costa near the base, and whitish apex and subapex. There are also a few black spots at the subapex.
