Wing span:

Identification: The wings are brown on the upperside, with two dark brown submarginal lines. The forewings have a black subapical ocellus and the hindwings have a black tornal ocellus, each with a whitish pupil and yellow outline. The underside of the wings is light brown with two dark brown bands running from costa to dorsum. The forewings have a black subapical ocellus with two purplish pupils and a yellow outline. There are also purplish markings above and below the ocellus. The hindwings have two black ocelli, one near the apex and one near the tornus, each with two purplish pupils and a yellow outline. Both fore- and hindwings have two dark brown submarginal lines, one straight and one distinctively wavy, with some dark brown speckles on the inner side of the wavy line.
