Wing span:

Identification: The wings are brown on the upperside, with a bluish-purple tint at and above the dorsum on the hindwings. The underside of the wings is alternating stripes of brown and purplish-blue. The forewings have a black bipupilled subapical ocellus with purplish-white pupils and yellow outline. The hindwings have three black bipupilled ocelli in the outer postdiscal and subapical regions, each with purplish-white pupils and a yellow outline followed by a thinner brown outline. Two of the ocelli are in the subapical region while one is above the tornus. There are two purplish markings (one is an elongated oval) with yellow outline between the subpapical ocelli and the ocellus above the tornus.
