Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with a broad orangish-red band running centrally from mid to dorsum on the forewings and occurring postbasally from costa to dorsum on the hindwings. The forewings also have a large orangish-red spot near the apex, just above the central band. The underside of the wings has a blotchy appearance, and the markings on the upperside are visible on the underside. The wings are dark brown around the edges on the underside and light brown elsewhere. The hindwings have faint postdiscal lunules. The body is dark brown on the upperside and light brown on the underside.
