Wing span:

Identification: The forewings are orange from the base to the discal region, with a yellow central band and the remaining outer region being dark brown with yellow patches. There is a dark brown spot at discal edge of the orange region. The hindwings are entirely orange with a horizontal row of central dark brown spots. The tornal region of the hindwings also has a series of dark brown spots. 

Variation: There is variation in the number/amount of dark brown spots on the hindwings, and in the intensity of the yellow patches in the dark brown region of the forewings.
