Wing span:

Identification: The wings are blue on the upperside with dark brown margins, submargins and apex. The hindwings have a dark brown tornal spot, and the forewings have a central dark brown line from mid to costa. The underside of the wings is blue with two dark brown lines (one central and one at the end of the postbasal region) running from costa to dorsum and two dark brown submarginal lines. The forewings have three subapical ocelli, one white with a black pupil and two blue, each with a black outline. The hindwings have five ocelli in the outer postdiscal region, two black, two blue and one black (moving from apex to tornus). The black ocelli have a white pupil and a thick yellow outline, followed by a thin black outline. The blue ocelli have only a thin black outline. The ocellus closest to the tornus is bipupilled.
