Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside, with a broad central orange band (which appears lighter on the underside) and two small apical markings on the forewings, and orange submarginal lunules (faint on the underside) on the hindwings. The forewings have a black ocellus (with light brown outline) below the apical spots and two wavy black submarginal lines on the underside. The hindwings have two dark brown spots, one at the costa and one near the tornus, on the underside (each with a thin black outline).
