Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with a central light blue band from mid to dorsum on the forewings and from costa to tornus on the hindwings. The forewings have two light blue markings above the central band and three whitish subapical markings. The hindwings have a faint light blue submarginal line from mid-termen to tornus. The wings have a deep blue tint on the inner side of the central band, all the way to the base. The hindwings are serrated, especially at the tornal margin. The underside of the wings is white with black markings, appearing zebra-like. The forewings have a yellow patch in the outer postdiscal region, above the tornus, and the hindwings have a black tornal ocellus in a large teardrop-shaped yellow patch. The body is dark brown on the upperside and zebra-like on the underside.
