Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with a central iridescent greenish-blue band running from just below the costa to the dorsum on the forewings and to the tornus on the hindwings. The upper part of the band on forewings is thinner and curved. The hindwings have a whitish-brown patch at the costa. The underside of the wings is a blotchy brown, with different shades of brown outlined by black. There is a distinctive dark brown line running from costa to dorsum, which appears wavy in the the outer postdiscal region of the forewings, and straighter in the central region of the hindwings. The hindwings have six small brown submarginal spots running from the apex to tornus, dark brown submarginal lunules, and a black-outlined brown costal ocellus. The postbasal region of both fore- and hindwings have some black markings (mostly spots). The body is dark brown on the upperside and light brown on the underside, and the proboscis is red.
