Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with black vertical lines, a y-shaped orange band that fades to white near the dorsum (the entire band appears white on the underside) on the postdiscal region of the forewings and a central white band on the hindwings. The tornus of the hindwings has an orange patch, which appears as two orange-crowned black ocelli on the underside. The wings are whitish-mauve on the underside in between the black vertical lines, and there are whitish vertical strips from the base to the central band on the hindwings.
