Wing span:

Identification: The body and wings are bright iridescent blue on the upperside. The hindwings have two tail-like projections near the tornus. The underside of the wings is brown; in males, the underside of the wings has a pale blue tint. The underside of the wings has dark brown margins, bordered on the outer side by white fringe in males and brown fringe in females. The forewings have four dark brown bands and a dark brown patch. The hindwings have two dark brown central bands and submarginal lunules that appear white in males and dark brown in females. The hindwings also have two yellow-crowned black tornal ocelli.
