Double-patched hairstreak

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with white fringe. Males have bright iridescent blue tint on the upperside except at the margins. The hindwings have two tail-like projections near the tornus. The underside of the wings is light brown with a dark brown and white postdiscal line running vertically from costa to dorsum. This line is wavy on the hindwings and has two bright orange patches on the outer side, one at the apex and one near the tornus where it crowns two black ocelli. There is also a white submarginal line on the underside of the hindwings.
