Wing span:

Identification: Tailed butterfly with brown wings. The termen and tornus of the hindwings are white. The forewings have a central oblique transparent band, a transparent spot adjacent to this band, and two to three subapical transparent spots. The hindwings have dark brown markings on the underside. 

Variation: There is variation in the number of subapical spots on the forewings.
