Violet-tipped Saliana

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with light brown fringe. The forewings have three central transparent spots, one transparent spot below the central spots (just above the dorsum), and three subapical transparent spots. The hindwings have two transparent spots. The body, costa of the forewings, and mid to base of the dorsum on the hindwings are light brown on the underside. The basal and postbasal areas on the underside of the hindwings are violet. Additionally, the apex and subapex of the forewings and apex and upper part of the termen of the hindwings have a violet tint on the underside.
