Greenish Mellana

Wing span:

Identification: The body and wings are dark brown on the upperside and orange-brown on the underside, with light brown fringe. The forewings have a central orange band starting from the subapex and extending to the cell above the dorsum, and orange costa. The underside of the forewings is dark brown from below the costa to the dorsum. The hindwings have a central orange patch on the upperside. The underside of the wings may have a green tint. 

Variation: There is variation in the amount of green tint on the underside of the wings.
