Common Mellana

Wing span:

Identification: The body and wings are dark brown on the upperside and orange-brown on the underside, with light brown fringe. The forewings have a central orange band starting from the subapex and extending to the dorsum, and orange costa. The hindwings have a central orange patch on the upperside. On the underside, the dorsum and area above it on the forewings, and the cell above the dorsum on the hindwings are brown.
