Wing span:

Identification: This species is sexually dimorphic. Males have dark brown wings and white fringe while the wings of females are a lighter shade of brown and they have yellow fringe. The forewings of males have a central black line and a yellow spot on the outer side of the line, while females have two central yellow spots, one yellow spot below the central spots (just above the dorsum), and five subapical yellow spots. The costa and base are dark brown on the underside of the forewings. The underside of the hindwings has a central dark brown band that splits in two at the costa.
