Eight-spotted longtail
Wing span:
Identification: Tailed butterfly with brown wings and light brown to yellow fringe. The forewings have four central transparent spots and three subapical transparent spots. The head and dorsum of the forewings is light brown on the underside. The hindwings have two faint black bands.
Variation: There may be a central white patch on the underside of the hindwings in some specimens.

Larval food plant: Acosmium panamense, Ceiba pentandra, Karwinskia calderonii, Myrospermum frutescens, Pterocarpus orbiculatus (Warren et al., 2013)
Adult food: Flower nectar of Ageratum
