Violet-banded skipper

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside and a lighter shade of brown on the underside, with brown fringe. The forewings have four central transparent spots, one yellowish spot below the central spots (just above the dorsum), and three subapical transparent spots. The underside of the hindwings has a violet tint, a central oblique dark brown band, and a dark brown postbasal spot. The body is dark brown on the upperside and light brown on the underside.
